Reality Based Self Defense Program

Our curriculum is based around learning a variety of techniques and drills designed to allow each individual martial artist to apply them in real self defense scenarios.  Each individual will learn techniques that they can apply regardless of size, strength, or stamina.  Students are taught how to think about violent encounters, how to think tactically and avoid dangerous situations, and build confidence in their ability to protect themselves, families, and friends.

This system is built upon the idea that techniques must be drilled regularly so that they are an instinctual response.  Muscle memory will be developed so that students can block faster, punch more quickly, and confidently deal with everything from bullies to life and death encounters. Asheville Self Defense offers a full spectrum of striking, kicking, takedowns, joint locks, ground fighting, and weapons training.  The goal is for students to be proficient in any encoutner by giving a variety of techniques and options that integrate into a complete fighting ability.
